I buy cheap Grandma knickers from the likes of Mataland, TKmax and other low-end stores. I'm talking bag of 5 for £5 kind of thing.

I streach the pants between my knees (so it's like I am putting my pants on backwards, only get them up half way, have a seat and start pinning) If you have a sewing machine with a zig-zag stich, then that is handy, otherwise sew by hand in a ziggy-zaggy style.

Like the beautiful Angel D'Light I also find a lot of fringing and frills in Indian stores. Also John Lewis is good in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Dusky I just had a brainwave. Elastic thread! I've never used, only spied it the other day in Remnant Kings but it might be a thought.
