Default another pointe shoe question?

After all the expert advice about pointe shoes that gurgled forth from you all a few days ago - I have a query.?

I bought a different make to usual the other week from a different shop and they sold me these suede patches to use instead of darning - being allergic to darning I snapped them up, but the person in the shop wasn't sure how to affix them (odd, but there you go!)

Has anyone used these? What did you stick them on with? Are they any good? Or should I just get out the needle and thread?

Hi there,

I used these patches on a set of pointe shoes a few years ago. Not sure if it was the way I put them on but as I danced they started to curl at the ends and come off. I was worried I was going to trip while en pointe so took them off.

I darn mine now takes longer but lasts and looks better, and i feel safer en pointe.

If you use them make sure you use a very strong glue and cover all the edges.
