Default Burlesque Clothing - Need advice finding it!

I'm currently looking for a Burleque ball gown suitable for a formal occasion for my girlfriend. Has anyone any ideas as to where good Burlesque clothing that's appropriate could be pourchased?

To be honest, you can't beat Ebay for all your bits and pieces. If you have her size you could always go to a wedding dress store, i'm sure they would have some amazing dresses, also second hand stores.can't beat them with a stick! You could pic up bits and bobs all around the place and throw a dress together for her, she'd love that! Well i would. ()

Don't forget those charity shops! You can get great accessories like old fashioned gloves and jewellery there.- and some nice handbags too!

depending on where you live, vintage shops can be goldmines.

Alternatively, purchase a basic dress in the preferred shape and visit Barnett and Lawson for trimmings and all sorts of things to customize it. You can pick up noce dresses with vintage inspiration from most of the high street shops at the moment - Top Shop seem to have some nice 40s' and 50's inspired pieces.

Fairy Goth Mother in Camden is quite good for dresses too.

If you want something super special then check out Eternal Spirits
corsetry - Susi there makes complete outfits and can create garments from any era.

Think accessories to get a 'burlesque' look - quirky hat, beads, tassels, seamed stockings.

Hi TK Macs can be really good, I work in lots of different places and small town TK's are the best. You can get really well made clothes at a quarter of the price that you can mix and adapt for going out or performance.
