I know this has nothing to do with Burlesque, but I thought I would a) Vent and b) Warn you all.!
I was walking back to London Bridge Station last night from Southwark Bridge Road (I used to work at Southwark Training Centre - Fire Brigade - have moved offices) seeing a few old colleagues from the building I used to work in. I had one or two non alcoholic drinks and left them to it as they were making a night of it there.
I left the pub around 7pm and walked down Southwark Bridge Road - which has a park opposite the pub (mainly tramps etc live in there).
I then got mugged.
Luckily the horrid man couldn't get to much as he got startled but he took my precious ring and bit my finger in the process and when i wouldnt give him my bag he bit me on the cheek and scratched my other hand - then he got startled and ran off.
I feel absolutely icky and
STILL had to walk to the station as I was in such shock over what happened I wasnt sure if I was dreaming. I phoned my boyfriend and the darling came and picked me up and sorted me out, but I thought I should warn any of you that head over that way just to be careful. I worked in that area for about a year and there has never been a problem, i guess when the sun comes out then so does these nasty people.
