touch wood, i have not been mugged in London, yet. a number of friend have.

I was mugged a few years ago on holiday. only consolation was the 5 cm finger nail my friend left in one of the attachers necks! they didn't get away with much but my favorite and discontinued red lipstick.

Oh my goodness, that's terrible you poor thing. Hope you are feeling better.
It's a dangerous world out there, we could all do with a wake up call so we are more vigillant.
My friends and I have a policy to never let anyone walk alone at night, and so far that has served us well
