Shameful Flirting!
Hello
I just wanted to say i had such a wonderful time at Flirt last night.
The girls and guys were all fabulous
especially our lovely host who i think perhaps stole the show.
I had so much fun that i accidently drank too much lemonade and it all went a bit Courtney Love.
There was a jiving incident during which i split my skirt right up the back revealing my backside to all . . . of course i did not notice for quite some time, much to the amusement and disgust of many spectators.
I want to thank the lovely gentlemen who danced with me, He was such a good sport for being so sweet and not punching me in the face for being such a drunken fool.
I apologise for getting a bit too excited, i adopted some rather outlandish and agressive dance moves which are probably best saved for self defence rather than rock and roll.
I do hope you were all far too drunk to remember and i pray there is no photographic evidence of my shameful behavior.
Although come to think of it, it did say debauchery on the flyer.
Well done to everyone for making it such a wonderful evening. It was really nice meeting you all!
Luv Bee x

I must say how much I enjoyed Flirt too (much more than the 6 hour drive it took me to get there and back to Newcastle).
All the performers were brilliant, and was great to see all the glamourous attire from both performers and audience.
I think Daiquiri Dusk deserves a special mention for making her first ever live appearance, she did just fabulous!
Loved Dusty's song too, and was well impressed with the great music from El Nino.
Must say, it would be a better venue with a stage though!
But all round a top night!

It was a fab night indeed.
thanks to Bea, Warren and everyone that came along and joined in. It was so much fun.
Everyone who performed also had a great time and i think we all have a soft spot for Tony Clifton now! OOOh that spangly pink jacket.
Dusty was indeed a showstopper (and starter), heartbreaker and all round legend as always.
Cocoa was exceptionally elegant and graceful as she fandanced and smiled that dazzling smile of hers.
Amber was an instant hit and really took the room by storm - she is a true showgirl and wonderfully talented professional.
Marianne was simply beautiful and literally put the Geisha in the Geisha bar!
Red Sarah knocked us all for six, with the Marie Antoinette style poi twirling, tassel twirling masterpiece. Seeing the white poi twirling above her head in time with her tassels doing the 'helicopter' was awesome.
This Is Elvis - need i say more? We all LOVE our own Elvis. He really is the one true King.
Cherri and Daiquiri were excellent.
Cherri's bump 'n' grind shenanigans proved that she lives up to her name 'Shakewell'.
Daiquiri was adorable and oozed a grace of the light hearted frolicking fun that makes Burlesque so popular. It was Daiquiri's first ever live show and she is now a star in the making!
El Nino was of course, essential and magnificent as always. All hail El Nino!
The Geisha staff again were great and so many thanks to Susi (Eternal SPirits) and Ash of the Geisha for a great night.
The next official MoB night in Nottingham is the Burlesque Ball in Blotts Country Club on 21st July. The Geisha Bar and Eternal Spirits will be promoting that too.
There might be another Flirt in Geisha Bar next month but we aint sure of the date yet.

Just want to say another big thankyou to Kittie and James for inviting me up to Flirt!
It was a real treat and I am missing my happy burlesque family but am glad to be home as we were a little comatosed by the time we reached Kings Cross.
I felt super looked after and the right amount of hard work and fun was had by all.
See you all very soon

As someone on the receiving end of said bump'n'grind, Kittie is indeed right on the money.
'Twas a birthday to remember, for sure. All my mates and I had a great night out. It was the whole package, the jazzy old-time tunes played by DJ Nino, Dusky's incomparable compere-ing, Amber's slow-burn vocals, everyone played their part! Quick shout out as well to the magician, Jonathan who wowed my friends with his table magic.
It was a burlesque first for all of us, and trust me, it was hard enough getting everyone to come out (we plead student poverty) but the general consensus afterwards was, screw the debt, when's the next Flirt?
(woohoo, first ever post!)

Even though he wasn't doing any magic and was simply judging the Battle Of Burlesque competition, we were really worried about having both Paul Zenon on the bill with Jonathan Pickard in case they both got into a drunken magician argument!
It would probably start with them using playing cards as ninja death stars, but I think that it would rapidly degenerate into a Lord Of The Rings Sauron/Saramon style fight to the death with each magician trying to fry the other via lightning bolts from the fingertips!
Luckily this didn't happen and so lots of enjoyment was had by all!

The good news is that Flirt is about to become a MONTHLY EVENT. We'll know the date of the next one in the next week, but we have a major Flirt lined up for 21st July!

Hmm. now that's an idea. 'Coming up next, after Battle of the Burlesque. Magician Death Match!' Definite potential there, methinks.

It truly was a wonderful night, I had so much fun! It was lovely to meet you all. Thanks for your patience and encouragement and for answering my endless questions! Apologies for dashing off so early this morning, rather overscheduled with uni / exam stuff just now! Thanks Kittie and Warren for you kind words on here, you are all such sweet people, I cannot wait to see you all again.
DDxx
ps Warren - I gather from talking to Colin that you and I missed out on a good opportunity to discuss our shared tastes in music (Marrilion, The Crue - what a man!). Next time for sure! x

That's what you get Bee for buying bottles of wine in the "hope" that people will share a glass or 2! :WALLBASH:
We were downstairs at the time taking the piddle out of the cardigan that This was wearing. not long after Dusty had ridiculed them on the mic!
Dusty's song was AMAZING! Wish he would record it and whack it on MP3!
Anyone notice my long gingham (Victorian teacher-esque) skirt. well I didn't win any soddin prizes like you said you were giving out! . but my outfit did get me a pound off some chips n cheese at the local chippy!
Audience participation/appreciation seemed tons better than the Flash Monkey show I went to! It was a more "fun" scene as opposed to evryone standing and staring but I suppose even performers have their preferred choice!
Would like to know MORE about this burlesque ball though!?
