There is a shop near Selfridges which has absolutely everything! I'll remember the name shortly! Its worth the wait, I've been able to find even really obscure stuff in there and they have a million standards and classics as well.
I'll be going in there with my student loan for a much lusted after (probably only by me) version of Dolly Parton's 'Jolene'. Tragically am obsessed with it! Oh dear.

On a slightly related note - could anyone please tell me what is the name of the standard music that the Can Can is performed to?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for a cheap-ish tailor who could make me a 3 piece white suit?
Many thanks!

I believe that it's the Galop from Offenbach's 'Orpheus in the Underworld'
As for the tailor, if you find one, tell me!

Hiya
Regarding the tailor, a guy I used to work with uses these people. They come to London for a couple of days, take a hotel suite, measure you and take all your details back to Hong Kong where the suit is made at a fraction of the price and shipped to you. They keep your measurements on file to you can reorder without having to be re-measured - assuming you haven't grown/shrunk. I think a pretty normal suit was in the £200 sort of range a couple of years ago which sounds pretty good to me.
Let me know if you try them 'cause they do girls stuff too.

Thanks for the help with the music and the tailor - that is indeed the Can Can music. I don't suppose anyone knows if there is a more powerful dance mix of it?
Raja are apparently coming to Newcastle on 9-10 May so I'll go along and see if they can sort me out! Thanks Miss M-P
If you do need a bespoke suit, by the way, Raja are visiting many other UK cities too.
I'm going to try a few local mens fashion places too, to see if I can get a good deal earlier - I'll keep you informed Dashwood.

On the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack There is Fatboy Slim Can Can tune. Its very high energy and pretty darned hectic.
Thanks for the backing track shop info Ophelia, very handy.
I lurrve Joleen too, did my first ever fan dance to it.
