Burlesque Videos/DVD's
Hi Everyone and anyone else. :?
Could you let me know or point me in the direction of any place that sells burlesque videos - old school stuff. I've watched the lady of burlesque and seen a few snippets of others but I would like to own a copy of anything that contains footage of an actual burlesque act of Gypsy Rose Lee or Fanny Brice or any of the legends for that matter. I have looked at Virgin Megastores, HMV and Soho Bookstores and even a few dodgy places in Soho but no luck so far. Please help a poor gal down on her luck.

Ive got a massive folder of 'vintage porn' (used for projections, quiet at the back!) that has a seperate folder of Burlesque dancers. If youre on a fast connection, im sure I can send you some.

e-bay ususally has 2nd hand dvds of all the Bettie Page stuff and there is a good one called "Striptease" which featire Gypsy, Sally, Bettie, Tempest and everyone you'd wanna see.
There are usually a whole load of bootleg copies too.
James had some archive footage up on the web but i'm not sure where that is now.

I would go with Kittie - ebay is your best bet. I bought several old-school dvds a couple of months ago (Varietease, Lili St Cyr's Wedding Night and a Bettie Page one among others), cost about £6 each inc postage (from the US). They are region-free dvds but superb copies. Have a look and I'll go check who I bought them from and pass on their user name if that helps.
