MOB buisness cards

hello folks,

just an idea - i personally would love to hand out mob buisness cards
with the community details on one side and my mobstar details on the other. poss just for mobstars ?
or two different cards, one for members to let others know about the community/ and one for mobstars with pics ?

at striporama on thurs night a lot of people would have benefited from a way into the community a card would have been the perfect thing to give them - and i would have loved to show off my mobstar status :P

writing the web address on a napkin - somehow not very fitting

thoughts?

anyone know a good printers ? prices etc ?

Very good idea. I think a promotional pack for Burly events would be a fabulous idea. It could include flyers, posters, business cards etc etc? Possibly an option for MoB approved events?

Way back in 2003 when MOB was just 5 members we all had our very own business cards, They were rather sexy if I do say so myself. and I do. I made them up for everyone.

Since we are backstage I can tell you that whilest I am a stunning burlesque performer and ghost tour guide by night, during the day I work in a wee print shop. I sit in front of my computer in an ill fitting polyester suit and pretend that I am not checking out the MOB forums.

I still have the original business cards the say: 'the ministry of burlesque presents Foxy Rouge' then they have both my details and MOB details (no phone number, If I want to give that out I write it on the back). I also make up my own Postcards (with MOB details and a braintraser on the back)

The most useful thing I have created during office hours is my own personalised Ink stamp. I use it for everything, I stamp envelopes, letterheads, CD covers, Books-I'm-lending-out. everything.

So I think (in my proffesional printers opinion) that having a commuity idenity is a great idea. It could be best done by James/Kittie making up one side of a business card (cause they really dont do enough work for us) and then you can make up the other side woth everything you would like.

Or perhaps I could make up one side or an icon (kind of like a corgi registered logo) and submit it to Kittie for approval and she give it to those of us who have the MOB seal of approval.

Ok, got to get back to work

i know what you mean about kittie and james having quite enough to do at the moment. aren't they genius.

were you performing at edinburgh the year you came to my cabaret ?
what were you up to in 2003 when you started .

how does it feel to have been a part of the ministry at its conception, for it now to be at the forefront of the scene ?
i know i am delighted to be a mobstar, and i love chatting with everyone here in the forums.

i have been doing circus 10 years, always with a cabaret feel, someone suggested i was very burlesque so i took it and went with it.
the act you saw me do in edinburgh is one i have been doing since 2000
now i have added fire nipple tassels at the end . . . . logical progression.
learnt to tassel a year ago specialy ! fantastic !

am now working on 3 new acts, . busy busy - wedding crazy.

we'll miss you on monday.

The year I first saw you in 2003 I was a ghost-tour-guide but had yet to discover the magic of burlesque from the stage itself.

I wasn't a founding member of The Ministry. Kittie started it up way back in 2001, (correct me if i'm wrong Kittie) when I still had dredlocks and a backpack.

I met Kittie at a Fetish club, she and the Ministry (4 dancers then) came in and did an amazing show. I wanted to be a part of it. Until I met Kittie I had never heard of the word 'Burlesque' before. Now it seems that it is the word I hear most.

A circus background is a brillant one to have. I came in from a bellydancing background. I love how we all have such varied experiences and that we bring it all with us to our burlesque performances.

I'm sorry I cant make it to the meeting on monday. However, I look forward to a full report.

Actually we've been discussing business cards for a while - it's just a case of getting things organised.

We've also been arranging a special MoB card which will entitle Trusted Members to discounts at places like Volupte, Lady Luck and stores like Eternal Spirits etc.

Again it's about getting some free time to sort this - my main problem at the moment is that I am rushing against a deadline to get the new website for Forum Magazine up and running before the next issue goes to press, then I can devote some more time to sorting this stuff out.

It's something we can also discuss on Monday.
