Default Crowd pleasing routines?

Ok, so heres the deal - im due to do a show in a few weeks but im a bit stuck for ideas. Its a bit of an iffy crowd so I dont want to do anything that will end up with a silent audience not knowing what to say! Does anyone have any ideas for classic tried and tested routines that will guarantee my paycheque and that dont require oddles of props?

Honestly, its a dogs life sometimes! We all have it SO hard

Just make sure that if you're throwing them out into the crowd, they're not boiled sweets! :P

Hey, Foxy here

Don't think anyone of us is going to part
with any of our own potentual act ideas
that we all have secreted away in our
heads.... you never know when even the
most random ideas will become a reality.

anyway here's my recipe:

take equal parts of
what you know/strengths/talents
what you love
and what entertains you

add
DD cup of what you have always wanted to
see on stage but have never actually seen.

and a feather full of cheek
and a sparkle of conviction

mix this in with large helpings of
your favorite music,
your favorite colour
and your favorite costume.

discuss over red wine (or prefered beverage)
and chocolate somethings with closest and
most fun friends.

add a lot of laughs

repeat in front of a mirror until perfected

present on stage with a garnish of appause.

good luck my dear

Foxy again

also don't worry about leaving the
audience speechless... shock is as
good a reaction as laughter or
interest or tittalation.

and is better than apathy or
indifference.

XF.

Audience participation always works.

Get a few up to dance with you or use them in some way... maybe as a hat-stand then hang your gloves and stockings on them etc...
