Saturday 31st July 2010 @ The Assembly Rooms, Derby 2pm ~ 2am

Details of Newcomers Competition

Delicious, starring Natsumi Scarlett & Kittie, will be holding a newcomers competition as part of their festival style event in July. It will take place in the early part of the evening between 7 & 8pm and we invite applications from suitable performers.

8 lucky performers will get the opportunity to perform on the main stage in front of a judging panel including Kittie Klaw, Beatrix Von Bourbon & Charlotte Thomson.

The prizes will include :-

Winner

A slot in the main show that evening for their routine
A days personal one-to-one performance coaching with Kittie (MoB)
A professional portfoloio shoot with Image-Red Studios
£500 of prizes from Delicious vendors & sponsors including a bespoke corset from Adixxtion Designs

2nd Place

£200 of prizes from Delicious vendors & sponsors

3rd Place

£100 of prizes from Delicious vendors & sponsors

Entry Criteria

Under 1 year of public performance experience
1 routine to be performed lasting approx 4 minutes
A reference from an experienced performer or promoter to both confirm your performer status + recommend you for entry (name only needs to be provided on the application form itself).

Application Process

We will send you an application form which you should fill in and return by 31st January. If successful you will be invited to an audition day in late February/early March, venue TBA but likely to be in central Birmingham.
We will invite a number of other promoters to the auditions to form an audience & to give applicants an opportunity to network & maybe get other bookings. There will be a small fee payable on the day per applicant to cover the venue cost.
The 8 winners will be announced on the day, decided by the judging panel, they will go through to the final at the Delicious event on 31st July.

Photo & Video opportunity for audition day

As a further addition to the audition day, we will have a top photogrpaher on hand to take pictures of your show (lo-res copies will be provided FOC) and also a photographic studio who will offer you the opportunity for a shoot.

We will also have a video cameraman to film your performance, you will have the option of having a professionally editted showreel too.

We have received a fantastic response to this competition and can now announce the lucky performers who have been selected to attend auditions for the Delicious Newcomers Competition, they hail from across the whole country (but mainly from the Midlands/North !) :-

The audition day will be held at Asylum 2, Hampton Street Birmingham, B19 3LS on 13th March from 1pm - 5pm. We will contact all performers individually with full arrangements.

The auditions will be judged by Kittie Klaw + Charlotte Thomson, compered by El Kapitan, and stage managed by Fleur du Mal. The 8 lucky winners will go through to the grand final, to be held at Delicious on 31st July.

Video & photographic services are to be provided by Number von Son + Brian Groom (Image-Red) & Karl Bright, music courtesy of DJ Pagan Flame & general help & support from Adixxtion Designs.

Due to space restrictions this is not an event which can be open to the public, but interested promoters/event organisers are welcome to attend to form an audience, meet the contestant & maybe find some new talent for their own events. Anyone interested or wanting more info should email jules@heresynheelz.co.uk to request a place on the guestlist, but places are limited so first come first served and there is no charge.
