Default Large props in Australia?

Im not sure if any of your lovely people can help..

I have my next gig on the 9th Jan, I would love to do something a little different but not sure as yet (Its a heavy metal/goth club)..

I would ideally love to incorporate a large prop of some sort but I am not sure what as yet (still throwing ideas around).

Would anyone know of any places in Australia (Melbourne would be better) that sell second hand props or anything like that?

I don't know off hand (Except to point you to places like Recycled Garbage but they're in Brisbane) but I'll ask around

Hi Laura

How big are you thinking? I usually make my props... paper mache or a 2 dimensional cardboard facade which i paint and decorate etc. If you think of what you want as your prop let me know and I might be able to think of a way you could make it

Hi Laura,
There is a company in Melbourne called The Prop Store.
They have over 7000 props in all different themes.

Hope this helps.

that shouldnt be too hard to make out of paper mache. though obviously a lot easier if you can find one for hire!

Well I have decided to do a whole new routine and make it one of my staples... I thought I would do it with something I love..

I have a bit of a shoe fetish (I own over 100 pairs currently)..

So I am now on the hunt for a giant shoe (Think Priscilla) that I can use.. I know this has been done before, but not that often.

So, now to hunt for a giant shoe in Australia!!!
