Thread: back stabbing

hello,
it seems to me that im always on here moaning but i need your help again girlies and gentlmen, i am in a bit of a rut, It seems that a girl, has sent to rather good photographer alot of bad comments on me and has said that she will not do the shoot if i am there.

I myself did send an email to a photographer saying i would rather not give any drama to themelves so i will pull out as to stop the drama as she has been slandering me, daquiri, malady, and vendetta to alot of people. they thankfully was taking non of ths and seen her true colours hence the folowing comments she sent about myself.

"I can't stress enough how hineous that girl is."

and also made some horrific remarks about my modeling and burlesque capabilities and also about my *diva* personality.

im scrared she is going to send these type of remarks to other such buisnesses and burlesque scene promoters and give me a bad name, i don't know what to do, im actually really taken back about this considering the history we had.

Sorry to hear you have had this happen to you. Its happen to a couple of friends and its just plan horrible.
I think the only way to stop it is to meet her for a coffee and find out what her problem is

That sounds nasty, I hope it isn't causing you too much stress.

I'm sure most promoters / photographers are most likely to question the 'professionalism' and motives of the comment maker - particularly if they're making bitchy remarks about a number of individuals.

For what it's worth - I've never heard a bad word said against you and have received only glowing reports!

Hold your head up high, let her issues be her concern & not yours!

urgh this is always so horrible...

you have to think about a few things...who is the person slagging you and REALLY what can their effect be?

Promoters, photographers and other performers are very aware of this type of behaviour and if it's coming from one person only; in regards to lots of other people... well the original person will make themselves look like an idiot quite quickly.

I had a similar problem last year with a performer, eventually i was in the position to just outright ask what the hell she was playing at. I got a really good answer which I almost understood and things are gradually getting better; we do tend to avoid each other but it's amicable.

Make sure you get references from every gig you have done; plaster them over your myspace and include them if you are contacting promoters for gigs. A promoter is more likely to trust another promoter's opinion than some random slagging. If you have strong references; it doesn't matter too much about hearsay.

I know a few performers who have had trouble with this in the past; don't be scared - someone with the time to spend spreading rumours obviously doesn't have enough to do and won't be long for the scene anyway

I had an dredful girl doing the same to be a few years back but luckily only a couple of people fell for it. I don't know what has gone on between you guys, maybe she is just jealous, maybe she has heard chinese whispers, but if the photographer has been influenced then there is nothing you can do if he will not listen.

thanks dee, it has been causing me alot of stress unfortunately but im sure i will be fine by the 27th, well if not im sure some dutch courage will come into play hehe.

Amelie Soleil thanks aswell, i think it was just really the shock of what she said about me really got to me and now reading i ahve realsised she has just made herself look like such an idiot considering she sent to the photographer "id rather lick a cats ass than work with her"....very profesional and mature.

i shall definately get some feed back and post it on my myspace, hopefully the lovely dee will help out with that! and i hear ill be seeing you also amelie on the 27th? x

Well, at least you don't have to put up with this person's company again so this whole experience has not been a total loss! :lol:

Seriously though, no matter how much of a horrible shock hearing people badmouthing you is such blanket bitching is going to do her reputation for more harm than it is likely to do yours. So chin up - particularly considering you are the one getting the bookings just now (which also means that more and more people throughout the scene know damn well that she's talking a pile of absolute :censored.

OMG if thats really what she's written then ho ho ho you have NOTHING to worry about I can't see people taking that type of behaviour too seriously; plus did the photographer forward this to you? If so, well you know where their loyalties lie so yay team creme!

Honestly, don't worry about this. If I heard someone say that about a performer I'd take it with a HUGE pinch of salt. She's obviously not being very professional and I tend only to respect the opinions of those who I consider to be professional and business-like. x
