Thread: striptease documentary

Has anyone ever seen the documentary that this girl did, where she interview original burlesque striptease dancers...she wants to learn how to do a striptease...one of the dancers, I can't remember anyone's names, but one of the ladies shows some of the original costumes and discusses the under bra the girls would wear that made them look nude...as the laws back then were that nudity was not allowed, the girls had costumers make them these bras...I WANT TO MAKE THEM...NEED TO KNOW HOW..

Ah, that'd be the Pretty Things documentary Liz Goldwyn did I think?

Making those bras is pretty easy... it's just some floss elastic and some flesh-coloured net (preferrably stretchy)

Well, I think the rights are within the US, so it would be one of their channels, but I believe it can be watched online and there's a book and site fot it...

Vicky - the Pretty Things book is a must have. It's a big heavy book, crammed full of goodies which includes a big costume section with original orders and measurements for some of the girls. Put it on your Christmas list or put it down as a business expense!

Oh don't you worry, that book's been gracing my shelf for a few years now! But I haven't got round to getting hold of the documentary... do you know if it's any good?
