Default Scarlet feature Dita von Teese again!

Seems like everyone's jumping on the burly/ Dita bandwagon at the mo.

Just received my copy of Scarlet throught the post (in shops beginning of November) and there's a lovely interview and feature with Dita von Teese . Shame they used old photos of her though and didn't so some especially for the magazine.

Oh and Dare magazine (from Superdrug) has got a page on Dita as well.

Aah the price of popularity once again!

I think Dita 's been raising her profile for quite a while now and burlesque -inspired things have been quite 'in' for a few years - think Kylie's 'Showgirl' concerts, Christina Aguilera looking all retro and every high street fashion store stocking fashion corsets. It sort of happens with everything and for a while there'll be a 'revival' trend - punk, rockabilly, 80s etc.

The media and in particular the fashion industry grab on for a while, saturate it and then find something else. Many 'newbies' forget all about, but sometimes it introduces someone to something new and they embrace it and that can only be a good thing. Hey, it keeps all the performers in work! I say just enjoy seeing the world celebrate something you love, even if it is 'common'.

Actually I caught an old-ish TV interview with Dita the other day on 'Sexcetera'. It was from about 6 or 7 years ago - when she was plain ol' Dita , without the Von Teese. She was being interviewed about the growing popularity of the fetish/burlesque scenes I think.

I have it recorded somewhere, could maybe upload it later if anyone wants to see.

    Default Dita and Posh!

Have you seen the article in Closer??it mentions that Victoria Beckham and Dita Von Teese are planning to star in a reality TV show together.

"They're planning to join forces in a reality show. Dita will teach Victoria how to strip and be a burlesque dancer, while Victoria will instruct Dita on how to be a glamorous singer."
However, Victoria's husband, David Beckham, isn't impressed by the idea, because he doesn't want his wife doing anything too risque

what do you think about Dita and posh pairing up for "Posh and Dita 's Excellent adventure" ??

Bad bad bad! Can't imagine Dita dancing to 'bag it up' or any other spicegirl 'hits'. Neither can I imagine Bones Beckham looking good in pretty burlesque clothing.

    Yuck. Bad idea.

I doubt this is true. Dita and Posh may talk to each other now and then but I'm sure Dita 's far too busy (not to mention, how can Posh teach someone to sing??)

I hate to be pedantic, but "Bag It Up" was a Ginger Spice solo song
