Thread: Cut Off Yer Nuts!

As I sit here, bleeding profusely at my keyboard, I would like to inform people that trying to open walnuts with a carving knife is not as good an idea as it first sounds.

If you've not got a suitable nut-cracker, go and have a KitKat instead.

If you learn just one thing today, let this be it!

This is a phrase that Kittie often says to me, normally with an air of resigned acceptance. She puts a stop to a lot of my hair-brained schemes.

Unfortunately, she is in a meeting in town and I'm all alone here. On the bright side, it meant that I could snaffle one of our delicious chocolate brownies without her knowing... my excuse is that it's a 'sympathy brownie' in the same way that doctors give lollypoops to kids after injections.

Although having said that, I distinctly remember being injected by a doctor at the age of six or seven and all I got was a bloody sugar lump to suck!

It's not the same thing. I'm not a horse.

He He He! I also come up with ingenious ways of opening things and ending up hurting myself. Once realizing that you have no can opener for the can your trying to open, just give up and eat something else, dont stab it with a knife until you can just about tempt the murdered contents out! Sure it would have worked for soup!!!! lol

Urgh. I remember when I was at senior school the slogan 'suck it and see' was very popular, cos of the stupid dummy sweets, although we didn't use it in that context!!
