Default Plastic staves/blades for feather fans

    Hi there,

I'm writing to you as I am feather fan artist with some information which I hope will be of use to you and other burlesque artists who use feather fans. I'm a happy customer of the vendor below...

I found some feathers for sale onlinefrom a lady in Leicester (UK) on Ebay eBay My World - debzzdebra, (100% feedback) and I phoned her up to order as she also has a website Feathers by debzzart. Ostrich to Rooster. Amazing Range. We got talking about fans, and she has found a supplier that can make plastic staves, she had the factory make some samples, they are going to retail at about £15 for 12 staves (inc UK P+P) , which is a lot cheaper than the ostrichonline.com website. She is not planning on selling the bolts and wires to go with them yet, but I said to her if she is going to retail them, then it would be helpful to either have the hardware to go with them, or a list of sizes of bolts and washers as well as a construction guide. I had priced up a set of plastic blades from ostrich online and it came to £66, so if she can do them half price then I'd be very happy to buy them from her. Her e-mail address is debzzdebra@hotmail.com

I got my feathers next day delivery (I'm in the UK), excellent packaging and excellent customer service.

Debzz also sent me three prototypes, one with two holes, one with one holes, and one with notches on the edges of the blades to wrap the wires around. I liked the ones with the two holes best, and hopefully that's the ones she'll have made.

Hoping this info helps any other fan dancers out there!

I have used Talulah's staves and they are great. What I like about bamboo its lighter and also you can paint them to match your feathers.

I bought my staves & feathers from Debzzart, & I'm well pleased with everything.
My staves have holes & came with plastic cable-ties, I disgarded these in favour of using some nice thin bendy wire.

Nice customer service, I hope they do really well.
