thank you for all your responces, i am very flattered with the amount of comments i have recieved over this,
I have had a sit down with "Mr Feathers" and explained to him basically why i am doing this, (he knows full well though) and told him i am not going to stop doing what i lpve just to suit him, after all he is a massive angler and often travels the east coast to fish so why carnt i have my hobbie?? lol...anyway
he has agreed to come to a show that i am NOT performing in to watch how it all runs and all that jazz, hopefully he might get a better understanding of the beautiful and galmourous world of burlesque . Since our chat he has been suggesting things i try for my new act, so you never know all your advise i have used may have changed his ways....
but as the old cliche goes: im not counting my chickens yet!
once again thank you so much for all your advise...you have all been Gems xxxMiss Penny Feathers, the sweetest chick east side of yorkshire!!!

Heya

I can say out of experience that I know exactly what your dealing with! My BF is a very jealous tipe and did not like the idea of me and burlesque . He doesn't even like me wearing short skirts .I talked to him, let him know I'm passionate about it ,and explained to him what it is .He still isn't particularly happy, but he accepted it.
So I would say have a sit down talk with him ,explain it, tell him that you need to get out there and perform before you get paid and that when you get the experience the money will follow.
Hope I helped a bit hun
