Polka Dot Pin-ups
I recently got in contact with a man who says he works with a company called Polka Dot Pin-Ups that is just starting. I'm meeting him tomorrow to talk contracts and what exactly working with him would entail. Of course, my friend is sitting in with me.
I was wondering if anyone else has worked with them or knows anything about them. I've found a Myspace I think may be them, a website under construction and a MM page of a model that says she's worked with the one connected to the Myspace page before.
Oh and any major signs I should look for to turn down the job? This would be my first major modeling job so I'm a bit nervous and kind of stumbling over myself to figure what to do.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

If they ask for any money...run a mile! If they really want you and your look they will be willing to pay for Portfolios etc. Don't let them draw you in...I very nearly got scammed this way but luckily my good old sceptical ways kicked in before I parted with any cash.
That's not to say that this is a scam company, they could be very genuine and I really hope they are and that you have lots of fun with them. Just use a little bit of common sense, and your gut instinct (follow it like a lost puppy!) and everything should be fine!

Thanks, I'll definitely look out for that, I wasn't sure if it was kind of common or not to ask the models to pay a sort of fee for anything. Now I know it's a no-no
