    These are fantastic, I was reading about them and then found them! I love the trapeze disrobing act filmed by one of the first filming contraptions the Vitascope (attributed to Thomas Edison but actually he just bought the exclusive rights to the design off the inventors).

    always loved that video i especially love the toehang skirt removal! so terrifying, i tried it once and pulling a skirt off is much more wobbly than you'd think
