I thought this was going to be a rant about public toilets, having to use them as dressing rooms or something!

I think that the vast majority of performers have experienced much worse dressing rooms than public toilets!
Check my Twitter feed at the bottom of the page - I'm not even a performer and just last week I was changing into a tux in a service station toilet cubicle!
Hmmm - this could be a good discussion in itself.

Yes, probably my most swapped story was the time I changed in a pub's disabled toilet CUBICLE with two other performers and few suitcases full of props! We then had to emerge FROM the cubicle at the start of each of our acts as there was no stage and the audience was right in front of us! It was sort of like being Superman, but sharing the phonebooth with all the other superheroes.
