Talking Metalworker for Gears for a Costume

    Hello,
Can anyone recommend someone who could construct metal gears, lightweight and durable for a costume?

It is a Steampunk Victorian act, and I am having one heck of time finding metal workers who can finish out the detailing.

    Recommendations? Websites please!

Might be able to help, chances are that if your after something for a costume it would be much lighter than what one would normally use for gears, however it's easy enough to get thin metals laser cut to almost any pattern, PM me with your requirements and I'll see what I can find for you

Most steampunk fanatics I know source old clockwork mechanism cogs for their costumes. You can often buy them in bulk on eBay:

One way may be to have a brows on-line for steampunk style accessorises you like and approach the person who made it with the commission. Most people who make Steampunk items do it all themselves anyway.

Thank you everyone for getting back to me with all the great links and information. Yes I typically can make stuff, but metal scares me a bit when I was investigating how to do it myself. Not to mention I am a PhD student so I am up to my eyeballs in workload and can't make the parts in my OCD way.

I have been browsing on-line for weeks now, and can't find the right accessories... so the link(s) above will be a new hope.

White Knight I will PM you. Thank you!
