My name, Scarlette LaMonte was born at 3am I think two days before joining ministry of burlesque
.
It was originally going to be Jessie Scarlette. Scarlette being a middle name my best friend gave to me years ago upon realising that I didn't have one!
But it just didn't sit with me right. Then one night I was watching Singing In the Rain thinking about how much fun Lina Lamont would have been to play for Jean Hagen and also at the time i was also browsing though Len Rothe's book Queens of Burlesque when i came accross a performer called Lily Lamont.
And there it was- Scarlette LaMonte. I added the 'e' just like with Scarlette and although sometimes it gets mispronoucned Scar-let-ey La-Mont-ey i like it and hope to never change it.

The first routine i ever did was like a little bow peek-esk routine so i came up with the name Beau Peek, I had it for a couple of months but decided it was too similar sounding to bow peek - and when ever i was introduced all i could think about was the first routine i ever did.
I went to uni with a girl called Joanna Rocks and i always had serious name envy, so i pinched the second half of her name and Beau Rocks was born. It helps that i love my rock music too
A few weeks ago I discovered another Beau Peek burlesquer, so i'm glad I changed my name years ago coz that would have been a pain!!!

I'm named after a prop cat that a friend of mine made for a play I was working on. She was a beautiful white Persian and very glamorous!

My best friend used to call me "Wildflower" after a song by Sheryl Crow that meant a lot to us both. Then when i started modelling it kind of stuck with me and i added the "Lady" part when i started burlesque . I think it suits me and i've never come across anyone with a similar name.

I used to be called a rather naughty tongue in cheek name. Than having become rather disillusioned with it I asked the MoB to help me. A rather special lady (with a special place ALWAYS in my heart) came along and named me. Her name was Broomstick Pilot on these forums. I have to say she has been rather scarse of late...
but she knew exactly what suited me and I have to agree I love it. One of my friends has dyslexia and can spell it perfectly as its spelt phonetically which is brilliant so I kept it. That said LOADS of people drop the extra 'H' out of Khisses which is mildly annoying! LOL
