I know folk who travel from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast to Birmingham just for one night at Candy Box! It's obviously dependent on how much you want to see a show - travelling any sort of distance for something you're unsure about probably doesn't appeal!

I'm in Derby, which is quite a bit further north than Birmingham, but I see your point. Trouble is, if I were to take the train to Glasgow it would probably cost me around £100. If I wanted to stay over rather than take the four hour train journey back the same night, that'd be more cost. I just can't afford that kind of money for one night. The Candy Box is the most expensive club I've ever been to, and to be fair, if it was any further afield than Birmingham, I probably wouldn't bother with it. I'm certainly not a regular, and that's mainly due to budget. So paying so much to travel to a club in Scotland, however good it may be, is just not something I can consider.
