I think the following would all help:
1. Stressing that national express run an overnight bus from London and gets you to Glasgow for just £10 (if you buy early enough!). That's £20 return! Bargain.
2. It's also worth highlighting the cities where you can get an evening train home (I've done this in the blog on
http://www.myspace.com/hotmuffinsburlesque) ...oh and tell everone that your venue's DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH GLASGOW CENTRAL!! Convenient, much?
3. Open up a B&B. Or, failing that, tell those of us who are a little further away where the cheap-but-nice accommodation is.
4. Get the flyers circulating online! Bulletin on MySpace, set up an event page on that awful Facebook thing...
Basically, all those little local details that you know about how wonderful your venue is, how good the transport links are etc. etc. are worth communicating to those of us who are a little less well-informed.
