In addition to that the Panopticon shows regular tributes to Laurel & Hardy as well as other vaudeville inspired shows.
My first visit to the panopticon was yeeeears ago when I was a fresh faced technician in training with the
Tron Theatre (just next door to the Panopticon) - there was chat for a while about the Tron becoming directly involved with the refurb and I went along with their chief technician as he was going to have a look at what the lighting rig possibilities were.
I think I was about 19 and totally in awe, we had a couple of lectures on it at Uni prior to this so it was very exciting to get in about it like that.
Unfortunately nothing came of the talks with the Tron but I think that had something to do with the change in Artistic Director, but I digress...
