I tend to do my on hair really, so I don't know! It's incredibly thick and I hate to see hairdressers sweat over it, so I just don't let them! Only when the time arises for a quick trim do I surface for a trip to the hair salon. If your hair is dry, VO5's hot oil treatment works wonders, especially if you intend on curling your hair straight after, or if your hair is already curly (mine is when it's longer)! As for proper vintage hairdressers, I've never been to one before. You might try just skipping through images to get a picture of what it is you want and then take it to a salon and see what they say!
