Dear Burlesque,

I'm leaving you. Please don't see this as a bad thing, it is in no way because of anything you have done. It's not you, it's me. It's just that we are so different. You are beautiful and glamorous, and you can also be hard work some times. I do love every bit of you, I just need something different in my life, something else.

I must confess. I am leaving you for Africa, to teach English. I have desired Africa for a number of years now. I need to do what is right for me. Africa will also be hard work. But it doesn't care if I don't shave, or wear make-up.

I will miss you terribly, I will miss the beauty and the thrills, I will miss the friendships. I will miss the celerbration of the feminine.
